Berg, Willem (Hendrik) van den (Den Haag /'s-Gravenhage/The Hague, 1886 - Amsterdam, 1970). Portrait of the architect Nicolaas Lansdorp.

Nicolaas Lansdorp (Amsterdam, 1885 - Haarlem, 1968) was an architect, professor and draughtsman, he worked at the offices of Eduard Cuypers and of the Baander Brothers and between 1916 and 1919 for the Rotterdam local authorities. In 1920 he switched to the Buildings Devision of the Public Works Department at Amsterdam, where he remained until 1932. During that period he designed various prime public buildings, such as the new wing of the Amsterdam City Hall (1923-1926) in Oude Zijds Voorburgwal, as well as many schools.
Signed "Willem van den Berg" and "1950" in the lower left. In luxury gilt wooden frame.
