Description:Aquatint wrappers with letterpress-title on spine (softcover) with acetate dustjacket, 49 x 50 cms., 44 pages, ten original aquatints (2 with etchings) on wove paper protected by tissue guards illustrating a poem by the artist, text in English with an Italian illustration to the rear, housed into a protective plastic presentation box that fits in a a publisher's wooden shipping crate.
Note:Artist's Book. First Edition. One of 95 copies, numbered '61/95' and signed by Victor Pasmore on title-page. This illustrated book starts with the poem: ?Deep inside/ I looked,/ said the microscope,/ but of the soul/ I could not find a sign./ God is dead,/ said the telescope,/ it is only the stars/ that shine./ But having dreamed/ he was a bird/ the emperor/became uncertain. A fine copy apart from minimal scrape to raer, light spotiing to one sheet and single spot to 2 others (easily to be removed by paper-restorer).
