About us |
Luïscius Books (founded by Henk van Stipriaan 1978 and Christien Bakx who joined later) is specialized in books on Dutch, modern & contemporary art and artists’ books which are rare and out of print. The very first artist’s book Christien bought was at the age of 19, she acquired the first edition of Andy Warhol’s artist book of Moderna Museet Stockholm 1968.
Nowadays the main focus is on artists’ books and multiples from fluxus, conceptual, zero and minimal art, but above all there is a large collection artbooks on Dutch artists of the 20th Century.
We publish artists’ books in a limited edition in cooperation with artists like On Kawara, Lawrence Weiner, Hermann Nitsch, Ben Vautier, Roman Opalka, Lee Ufan, Arnulf Rainer, herman de vries, Jan Henderikse and Yoko Ono.
The artist’s books we have published with Personal Structures were always in a small edition, not more than 200 copies of which the first 50 copies are DeLuxe and signed. They are all SOLD.
A few years ago we stopped our business, but we still like to continue with a small stock and publishing editions such as Paul van Dijk, Jan Henderikse and Erik Kessels.
The design of our website is based on the discoloration of book covers by light and is made by Erik Kessels from KesselsKramer. |
